It is great that the state has people who don't bother taking care of themselves getting paid well to control common citizens. @madtownband many of the richest people pay little or no taxes at all the very rich have many many ways of doing what ever the fuck they want. college should be free. many other countries have free education. america has too much of a "need money to make money" factor. the hardest working americans are usually the poorest. working 2 jobs with barely enough to eat. theres alot more american money going to aid other places like africa. need to stop aid and fix ourselfs or were fucked!

@IceTray36 Really? Because i grew up poor and last time i checked i never committed any crimes to stay afloat. I went to a community college with a free grant then graduated after receiving fin aid. On average a person with an education earns 6x more during their lifetime. An education allows people to see the truth. Those top 5% pay 80% of all the taxes, with over half paying no fed taxes at all. If you dont believe me, google it. Dont like capitalism u can go see Russia or China.

@ras3199 I agree that US media is mostly dominated by a few very powerful people who propagate "news" that furthers their agenda. But I don't think RT America (Russia Today America) is an objective alternative. Russia Today TV is controlled by Russian government, and everything on it is basically because Vladimir Putin wants it there.

And of my family that still lives there, about 50% of them have lost job after job due to the downturn... the other 50% are lucky to still be working.... but all of us have taken pay cuts, healthcare reductions, & time deductions.

As someone in construction still in Vegas I can say it is very, very sad. Home builders were putting in orders for 2-3,000 up to 5,000 house a week. Now, orders are under 30 a week. In my field there were about 9 companies supplying, now there's 3 and I'm very fortunate to still work for 1 of those 3. If something doesn't turn around soon, that even might be in jeopardy. Great town to visit, not too fun to live there anymore. I was born n raised Vegas, moved out over a yr ago.
