A cause for celebration. With a vehicle that will take you back to where the dream began. Experience the new 911 Speedster. The 911 Speedster, a 408-horsepower is intended to hearken back to the original 356 Speedster of the 1950s. The new $200000 + rear-wheel-drive roadster is 2 inches lower than the rest of the 911s, has a more raked windshield and has a rag top. Only 356 will be produced starting next year, to pay homage to the original, only about 100 will make their way to America. The 3.8-liter flat-six engine produces 23 more horsepower than a 911 Carrera S Cabriolet, yet is EPA rated the same: 19 miles per gallon in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The 2011 Speedster reaches 60 miles per hour in a scant 4.2 seconds. Top speed: 190 mph. Of course, you'll want the six-speed manual transmission. But you can't have it. It's not available -- only a seven-speed. Besides stirring souls, Porsche hopes to whip up nostalgia. Ferrari 512TR vs Porche 911 on Coastal Track Action packed race between the AI and Me. A very twisty and hilly track with plenty of cars to dodge. The COPS try to give chase, but the 911 handling kept me out of reach. I was able to push the 911 several times and experience 4wheel difting.
