Damon Lindolf recently spoke to MTV about prometheus and we have the details! For those of you who are not familiar with Prometheus, its official synopsis describes the flick as "a discovery about the origins of humanity! An intergalactic voyage! An extraterrestrial battle with genocide-level implications!" which really doesn't say much about ridley scotts latest creation. Also a mini side note- this film started out as an Alien prequel and then turned into something completely different, but with Alien undertones. So MTV recently spoke to the scribe behind the flick, Damon Lindolf and he shed a bit more light on this mystery alien film. When asked about Fassbenders role in the flick, Lindolf said, ""He plays a robot. One of the things that evokes the idea of 'Blade Runner' is, 'What does the movie look like from the robot's point of view?" He went on to talk about bringing Michael fassbender on, and the responisbily that comes with attaching such a respectable actor to a flick like this...he said, "When you cast a guy like Fassbender, who's going to bring a lot more to it than [makes clichéd robot movements] — that was me doing the robot, I don't know if you could tell — it's not Anthony Daniels. In a short interview at WonderCon, Star Trek 2's Damon Lindelof spoke about his recent projects, including the highly anticipated, Star Trek 2. Lindelof was asked if star trek 2 would make an appearance at this years San Diego Comic-Con, which is held from July 12-15, and while answering, he revealed when production on Star Trek 2 would wrap. He said, "I know that there's a very strong desire to be there...we wrap production in May....Comic-Con this year I think is in early July. So obviously if there's something worth showing, we will show it, and if there is nothing worth showing, hopefully we'll at least be there to have people to throw fruits and vegetables, Tribbles at us." This is great info, considering everything on the film has been hush hush...jj abrahms has even gone as far as even created a papparatzi barrier around his sound stage at paramount studios to keep ANYTHING from leaking! Why? Well before this blockage was implemented, set photos were leaked and abrahms wasn't having it! So what did he do? He ordered the installation of 30 large shipping containers, strung together to form a fence around the perimeter of a major outside shooting location. Prometheus is an upcoming science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron. The plot follows the crew of the spaceship Prometheus in the year 2085, as they explore an advanced alien civilization in search of the origins of humanity. Conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien, rewrites of Spaihts' script by Lindelof developed a separate story that precedes the events of Alien, but which is not directly connected to the films in the Alien franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak", and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas. Principal photography began in March 2011, with filming taking place in England, Iceland, and Spain. Prometheus is scheduled for release between May 30 and June 8, 2012 in various territories through 20th Century Fox.
