"Gravity" is a self-produced 35 minutes short. The story is about Mister Puma, an urban acrobat who, through his art, tries to defy gravity. In life, either you have money or you have time... and as we didn't have almost any budget (all the two years and half film creation costed us barely more than 1.000€), we took our time. Our crew was quite small : we had one camera operator (the film was shot in 5D, 7D and also 550D), 5 actors, one music composer and of course one film director/visual effects artist. Even no budget for light, so all was done in post production. This adventure was just amazing, it all started with a small idea that that slowly turned into a great 35 minutes film. Now the wait is finally over. Logic's Flex Time processing is a great way to stretch audio without changing pitch. You can use the techniques shown here to quantize beats, compress region lengths to match your song tempo or to completely mangle your audio. There are many concepts to discuss on Flex Time so we've split the video into two parts. And these still don't cover it all, so continue exploring afterwards. Be sure to get familiar with Flex View, Flex Modes, the Flex Tool, Flex Markers and Transient Markers. The processes used can be applied to any audio region without destructively changing the original audio file. The results are achieved quickly because it is a "realtime" effect that needs no additional time to process offline. Practice Flex edits with beats, vocals, samples, basically ANY audio! One of my favorite Flex Time uses is for tightening up live percussion. Try this on one of your tracks that already has the basic drums: 1. Record a few bars of a simple pattern with any percussion instrument you have lying around - wood block, clave, cowbell, shaker, or even strike an empty beer bottle with a chopstick. 2. Turn Flex View on, and Select Rhythmic Mode on your percussion track. 3. Apply a quantize setting from the Region Parameters box (top-left, above the channel strips). 4. Under "Advanced Quantization", apply about 80 - 90% of "Q-Strength". This will move your audio transients closer to the grid (tighter!) but still keep your human feel. Easy!

I just basically "cheated" by copying and pasting portions of the video. Making them overlap so the video fit the audio. The quick edit. I decided not to do that this time. I challenged myself by stretching or editing minute parts of the video, making everything fit and nothing overlapping. Not very easy. It would be if I didn't have to match the dubbing. Hard stuff. Plus I have always hated the audio. I used the default program that came with Windows to make that video. So it sounded bad to me. While it's different in some ways compared to the first. I made sure this was converted to 1080p and has the 5.1 digital audio. If you have the set-up, comment on how it sounds. As for the "pop" you hear when the video starts, that's all YouTube. Enjoy. It looks like Kick-Ass 2 is officially moving forward and this time we mean it! Despite claims from creator Mark Millar back in February that Kick-Ass 2 would be going into production this summer, not much movement has been made on the comic book sequel...that is until now. Deadline has confirmed that Universal is moving forward with the project and hoping to start production this August. The film was a surprise hit when it was released back in 2010 taking in over $100 million worldwide. Director Matthew Vaughn, who is busy with the X-Men: First Class sequel will turn the reigns over to Never Back Down director Jeff Wadlow who also penned the script. One hurdle the production will face is signing the film's original cast that included Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse who have all seen their stars rise since the original films release. None were locked in for sequels, so new deals will need to be made for them to reprise their roles and of course schedules will have to be worked out, which could be difficult, especially for Chloe Grace Moretz who played Hit Girl. Moretz currently has five films in pre-production, including the remake of Stephen King's Carrie. No release date has been set, but John Romita Jr who illustrated the comic book recently spoke about the project and suggested a May 2013 release <b>...</b>

www.euronews.com Which European animation movie will get into cinemas tomorrow? 2012's Cartoon Movie, gathering over 700 participants from 35 countries in the French city of Lyon, presented 55 European animation film projects in a bid to raise finance for films either in concept, development, production or already completed. How does Cartoon Movie work? In the morning participants get to see trailers of the movie projects presented here. Film producers, buyers, distributors and sales agents then go to one of the presentation studios for more information about the project that interests them. The key questions are: What's the story? How much money do you need? Is it a family movie or for teenagers? Are the DVD rights for sale? After the business cards are exchanged everyone hopes for the beginning of a fruitful co-production. One of the projects, "The Boy with the Clock" is the story of Little Jack who was born on the coldest day on earth with a frozen heart.
