TINKARA - Od Zvezd Pijan (Orange Jam 32 flutes live)
The highlight from the "Orange Jam" concert and project, a live performance of Tinkara's hit song "Od Zvezd Pijan" (actually a cover of the Corrs' Only When I Sleep), in which she & the band are joined onstage by no less than 32 young flute players (count them!). "Orange Jam" happened on 24th January 2004 in the Avditorij Portoroz concert hall, Slovenia. Created by Dalls records' president, Goran Lisica - Fox, it was the final evening of a months long competition (in cooperation with Radio Hit, Stop magazine, and AKG acoustics Austria/AVC Group Slovenia) in which young, non-professional and amateur flutists where invited to show up at several auditions and, if selected, perform onstage with Tinkara & band. 32 of them from all over Slovenia made it (only one boy amongst them, the 33rd element, but he fell ill on the day of the event, so the 32 piece "Orange Jam Flute Ensemble" was an all female affair!), and despite the wild weather & heavy snow all over the country the show was a success. They performed 3 songs together at the climax of the concert setlist, this one representing the moment in which they hit the stage, straight from amongst the audience in the sold-out venue.
